I’m so excited to announce my upcoming role as an aunt! My twin sister announced her pregnancy a month or so ago, and I’m very thrilled to meet this child in December!
I couldn’t let my sister partake in such an exciting event without an exciting gift, so the wheels started churning for a fun interactive piece she can do daily as she awaits her bundle of joy.
I came to the conclusion that : Everyone loves bubble wrap! And although bubble wrap calendars seem to be a recent rage, I couldn’t find the existence of a bubble wrap pregnancy countdown calendar anywhere. Thus my endeavor :
The calendar is customized to fit Mandy’s pregnancy span and the colors she likes for her baby’s room. Of course, we don’t know exactly when the pregnancy started or how long it may go, so the full months from beginning to end are included just in case. I had so much fun cutting out bubbles and affixing them to this poster. However I will tell you, bubble wrap is never found fully in tact with ALL bubbles un-popped. Assembly on this guy requires finding patches of un-popped bubbles and cutting out single ones to replace where popped bubbles took a blow. Tedious! But totally worth it!
Here’s my glowing sister popping a day for baby! The satisfaction of the pop is so wonderful. And it ties into the “ready to pop” stages later on, but hopefully this will keep things fun and take her mind off the impatience as baby gets closer.
