One little m is featured in the October 2013 issue of “Chatter”, a local magazine to Chattanooga, Tennessee! I was absolutely thrilled to be contacted and to converse with the article’s author, Mary Beth Torgerson, back in August for a phone interview. I was surprised and excited for the feature to include a full photo shoot of me in my studio with my lovely assembly ladies, Estelle Abbott (above, left) and Jessica England. (I told them I couldn’t handle the excitement and that they’d have to do this thing with me!) The Chatter article focuses on three local businesses who have been successful using Etsy to sell their wares.
(Side note, I’m totally 7 months pregnant in the above photo, wearing a dress I made to accommodate … though she’s fairly hidden across the spread. There’s a baby in the bind!)
Locals can pick up the Chatter magazine for free at most magazine stands in town. For everyone else, the full Chatter article is featured online here at ChatterChattanooga.com, where one of my photos made it to the first image in their homepage slideshow (below) as well as the first full spread image for the printed article (first image above) wow!
The entire magazine can also be viewed in this “flipbook” format here.
I’m so excited! I hope to gain more local business from the publication. Right now we have many non local and international customers, (a diversity I love) but I’m looking forward to the possibility of actually getting to meet with my customers face to face. I discuss in the article how one of the most important things I’ve learned after doing my work (it will be 4 years in November!) is the worth of a really great customer/vendor relationship. This, above all, is the highest priority any vendor should have, in my opinion.
